Paris Diary 1 - Touchdown in Paris and exploration!

Guess what, we had a week off from internship due to Christmas Holidays! We decided to go to Paris for a week!

Unfortunately, we slept in the Blagnac Airport the night before since our flight was at 7a.m in the morning, and there wasn't public transport after 11pm :(

A short 1 and a half hour ride to Paris from Toulouse!

There was a short delay after landing, but we made it by 8.30 a.m!

When we wanted to take the Orlyval to get in to Centre Paris, but on the floor that the Orlyval entrance was on, there was a huge crowd. Apparently someone left their luggage unattended and security wanted to be sure it wasn't a bomb before letting anyone through.. T_T

Our airbnb apartment was in Mairie de Clichy, and it took me some time to get used to the metro system here in Paris, there were lots of correspondence lines on some of the stations here, but we were safely in our apartment in 40 minutes.

The apartment was quite nice, it had all the appliances we needed!

There was even a small Christmas Festival in the park nearby the apartment!

After exploring our area, we decided to walk around Champ Elysees, since it was the most famous street in Paris.

There was a giant queue outside Grand

Palace but none outside of Petit Palace.

Seeing that there was no queue for Petit Palace, we decided to enter the museum which was thankfully, free of charge!

After exiting Petit Palace, we decided to walk to the Lourve, while going through the gardens.

There were real horses too! I have never seen horses in real life xD

There was even a Ferris Wheel along the way!

This was the infamous Fountains of the Concorde!

And now the infamous Lourve!

Finally, the eiffel tower at night, all lit up.
